It happened ten days after the estimated date of birth: On March 16, 2000 at 0.45 am a graceful colt was born. It was a textbook birth without the slightest complications. The small colt looked into the new world with extremely big eyes and we were thrilled by his beauty. He exeeded our expections by far. We called him Mahrous. He is stamped by his sire Ibn Nejdy, inherited his incomparable presence and charm and his noble attitude. And he got his sire's fluid movement and upright bearing. Not to mention the high-tail carriage! However, most remarkable are his huge dark eyes in his chiseled face with a small muzzle and big nostrils. His eyes are round with extremely prominent eye-sockets. With his dry texture and long legs, Mahrous looks very elegant and extremely fine. Everything is in balance. His long, well-set neck, a light throatlatch and laid-back shoulders are his outstanding features. His character is nothing but lovely, he is people-oriented but already a little "macho". Up to a white star on his broad forehead he doesn't have any further markings and has full pigmentation. He embodies the true Nejd horse of the "southern type" (as described by Dr. Nagel). This is the type of horse we aim to breed.
